Thomas E. Farrell, Jr. passed away on October 10, 2025, of Philadelphia with loved one, Melissa (Missy) Lash, by his side. Survived by his wife, Lorraine Farrell (nee Perry) of Mantua. Loving father of Crystal Fried (Thomas) of West Deptford, Samantha Farrell (Justin Price) of Williamstown, Rachel Farrell (James Fowlkes) of National Park, Thomas E. Farrell, III (Amber) of Oak Valley, Frank Farrell (Becca) of National Park, Elaina Farrell (Alex Dorris) of West Deptford, and Missy's sons: Chris Griffin of Philadelphia, and Ethan Lash of Aston. Adored son of BettyAnn Farrell of Idaho, the late Thomas E. Farrell, Sr., and the late Patricia Farrell. Cherished brother of Eric Farrell of Idaho, Donna Spade (Jim) of Deptford, Terry Verfaillie of Texas, and Jerry Verfaillie, Jr. of Cape May. Devoted grandfather of Jacob, Elizabeth, MJ, Sophia, Caroline, Octavia, Addison, Naomi, Mackenzie, Emma, Eliana, Leah, Vivian, and Allyson. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tom attended Northeast Catholic High School for boys for most of his high school education prior to transferring to Deptford Township High School six months before graduating. During his teenage years, he found a love for writing through creative writing classes. Many of his friends loved his writings and couldn't wait to read more. His love for writing flourished and he wrote many books that he wanted to have published. He enjoyed reading as well. Tom was a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed going to games with his family! He loved everything about Philadelphia! He often walked the streets of Philadelphia taking pictures and wanting change for such a beautiful city. When it snowed, he would gather everyone together to drive through the city to look at the art and architecture that reflected God's beauty. He loved God and tried to spread the Gospel while walking around Philadelphia. He had an extraordinary love of listening to Rock and Roll music. He enjoyed taking vacations to Wildwood and Florida with his family. He loved watching the Penns Landing and Philadelphia Phillies fireworks. He loved and appreciated all the times he spent with his friends and family.
