Jonathan Farrell

Jonathan Farrell, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home in Duncannon, Pennsylvania at the age of 48.

Born on November 15, 1976, in Dublin, Ireland, Jonathan's generous spirit and compassionate heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Raised in Palmerstown, Dublin, Jonathan had an early career as a bar manager before moving to New York City in 2004. In New York, Jonathan worked in several bars and restaurants before transitioning to the transportation industry in 2012, a testament to his hardworking nature and dedication to providing for his family.

An avid billiards player, Jonathan's competitive spirit shined through in the numerous tournaments in which he participated. His strategic mind and steady hand were a formidable combination at the billiards table. He was also a founder of a local Liverpool F.C. Supporters Club, evidence of his enduring love for his Irish roots and the camaraderie of sport. Jonathan's charm and humility were his most striking traits. He navigated life with an unwavering sense of honesty, always striving to do right by others. His integrity was apparent in every interaction, and his desire to ensure the best for those around him was unmatched.

Jonathan was an incredible father and was fiercely devoted to his daughter, Chloe. His pride in her musical talent and academic achievements was known by all of his friends. He was also proud of the unique dynamic he shared with his extended family. Whether it was spending time with Chloe in her home on the upper east side of Manhattan, at the family beach house on Fire Island, or watching a Liverpool match with fellow soccer fans, Jonathan loved spending time with his loved ones. He always wanted to do right by others and ensure the best outcome for them.

Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Chloe Farrell, who was the light of his life, and to whom he dedicated himself to being the most supportive and caring father possible. Jonathan is also survived by his former wife, Joyce Schneider; his mother, Mary Farrell; sister, Ceili Farrell, niece, Klodie, and nephew, Dawson. Jonathan was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Farrell.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for his viewing on Friday October 17, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg. His funeral service will be held at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., on Saturday October 18, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dr. Keith A. Blank, officiating.
