Carl Michael Casella

The family of Carl Michael Casella of Wenonah is deeply saddened to announce his unexpected passing at the age of 61.
Carl was born to Carlo and Jane on May 23, 1964. He was raised in Oak Valley with his older brother, Chuck, and younger sister, Janine. He met Maria Cutuli in the spring of 1986, and they welcomed their daughter, Nina, in May 1987. The birth of his daughter coincided with the start of his employment at the Delaware River Port Authority. Carl and Maria welcomed their son, Nicholas, in July 1991.
Carl was proud of his thirty-plus years of employment at the DRPA and of his decades-long employment at Weaver Oil. His work gave him a sense of accomplishment and an avenue to provide for his family. Carl sought diligently to be a provider; a role that his father, Carlo, embodied. His generosity extended to friends, neighbors, and strangers. Carl's memory is embedded in his acts of service.
Carl is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Casella; children Nicholas Casella (Ivana) and Nina Petruzzi (Thomas); grandchildren Cole and Jake Petruzzi and Owen Carlo Casella; siblings Charles Casella and Janine Casella (Jill); nephews Gavin and Kyle Casella and Benjamin Seacrest and niece Josie Casella; dear friend and mother of his children, Maria (Cutuli) Casella. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Carlo Louis Casella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11am to 1pm in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ 08096.
Memorial Service 1pm in The Chapel of the funeral home.
Interment Private.
