Robert J. Schmid, Jr., age 60, of Deptford, passed away on October 19, 2025.
He was the beloved husband of Lisa Schmid (née Marengo) and the loving father of Robert J. Schmid III and Nicholas Schmid, both of Deptford. He will be forever missed by his faithful sidekick, Remi.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Robert Sr. and Dolores Schmid. He is survived by his cherished brother, Michael Schmid (Wendy) of Florida; his devoted in-laws, Vincent and Linda Marengo; and his caring brother- and sister-in-law, Greg and Lori Ferretti. He was a proud and loving uncle to Vincent, Ginamarie, Sarah, and Allison, and is also survived by many cousins and close friends who will miss him dearly.
Robert was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 399 for over 30 years. He took great pride in managing his crew as a General Foreman at the Salem Nuclear Plant. He treasured his summers at Seashore Line Campground and was a devoted Phillies fan. Robert enjoyed hunting, quad riding, and spending time at the Hard Rock Casino. His strength, humor, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's Church, 3rd & Beech Streets, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 noon.
Interment will be private.
