Dennis "Joe" Froehle

October 13, 1948 – October 29, 2025

Dennis "Joe" Froehle was born on October 13, 1948 in Aitkin, MN, to Clarence and Janet Froehle, he was the youngest of 8 children. Joe attended St. John's Prep and graduated from Aitkin High School before continuing his education at Itasca Community College.

A talented athlete, Joe was a standout wrestler in both high school and college. He earned multiple state championships and was named an All-American with an impressive 62–4 record, ranking fourth in the nation.

Throughout his working life, Joe was known for his entrepreneurial spirit. He founded and operated several successful businesses, most notably Joe's Vending, which he established in 1987 and grew into a thriving venture through which he enjoyed sponsoring community events and multiple youth sports teams in Mound Westonka.

In 2000, Joe married the love of his life, Lyn, and together they blended their families. Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had three children prior to his marriage to Lyn and was blessed with two more through their union.

Outside of work and family, Joe was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for time spent joking around with family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chuck and Rich; and nephews, Mark and Jake. He is survived by his loving wife, Lyn; children, Stephanie, Peter (Kelly), Samantha (Matt), Tony (Joanne), and Brad (Jackie); 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Pat, Kathleen, Art, Bob, and Muggs. He is also survived by many other family and friends. Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, both those who just met him and those who knew him for many years.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Peterson Chapel, 300 Main St N, St. Michael MN 55376. Visitation will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., followed by a service at 3:30 p.m.
