Donna R. Froehle, 81, formerly of Evansville, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 at her home in Louisville, KY. She was born June 8, 1944 in Evansville, IN to the late Edna (Blake) and Alben Magness.
Donna graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1962 and from St. Mary's School of Nursing. She worked at both St. Mary's and Welborn Baptist Hospital. Donna was a former member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a current member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Middletown, KY. She was an accomplished water skier when she was younger. Donna enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Froehle; son, Nathan (Chanda) Froehle; daughter, Jamie Froehle; grandchildren, Brooke "Johnnie" Froehle, Amelia Powell, Joseph Froehle and Morgan Froehle; sisters-in-law, Anita (Jim) Devine and Becky (Mike) Elmore; and three nieces.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Jason Gries officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Southern IN Chapter, 101 Bullitt Lane, Suite 208, Louisville, KY 40222.
