Robert J. Froehle, 85, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.
Bob was born on September 5, 1938 in Evansville to the late Herman J. Sr. and Reba (Wilkinson) Froehle. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and United States Army. Bob worked as an electronics technician at Whirlpool and PP&G. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed working puzzles, reading and spending time outdoors.
Surviving Bob are his wife of 33 years, Martha (Hamilton) Froehle; daughters, Stephanie Russel and Crystal Mahoy; son, John Froehle; stepchildren, Tamara Head, Melissa Dowdy and Charles W. (Theresa) Dowdy, Jr.; one sister, Cheryl Nappo; a grandson, Justin Froehle and nine step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Herman J. Froehle, Jr and by two sisters, Doris Mardis and Marian Decker.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Eugene Schmitt officiating. Burial will follow in Tupman Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club, 3438 Mariner Drive, Evansville, IN 47711.
