William L. "Bud" Goodsen, Sr., 87, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at his home. He was born September 18, 1938 in Evansville to the late Francis (Benton) and Albert Goodsen.
Bud graduated from Central High School and served in the US Army for six years. He was a supervisor at Whirlpool for many years before he retired. Bud was a member of the Whirlpool Management Club, Jacobsville Neighborhood Organization and was the head of Star Neighborhood Organization. He received the Key to Evansville from the mayor in 2023 for his devoted community service.
He is survived by his son, Chad (Sarah) Goodsen; grandchildren, Colton Goodsen and Brayden Goodsen; siblings, Danny Goodsen, Cheryl Jones, Diane McPherson and Judy Crabtree; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his son, William L. Goodsen, Jr.; and brother, Gary Goodsen.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Garrett officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals, 3701 Bellemeade Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.
