Edith Marie Brake, aged 60, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 27, 1965, to Joyce Levi, Edith's life was one of vibrant creativity, boundless love, and enduring family ties. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

Edith's early years were shaped by the loving care of her adopted parents, Kenneth and Becky Brake, both of whom predeceased her. Their guidance and support helped her grow into the remarkable woman she became. Edith's biological family remained an integral part of her life, and she shared many treasured moments with her siblings Richard, Charlie, Mike, Terry, Lori, Christy, and Jeff, as well as with her many nieces and nephews.

The joy of Edith's life was her two daughters, Emisha Liuzzi (married to Robert) and Shante Wessel (Joe). She raised them with love, laughter, and the kind of wisdom that only a devoted mother can impart. Edith's role as a grandmother to Dulcemaria, Marvan, Chevyl, Vincent, and Ellanora was one she embraced with every ounce of her being.

A woman of many interests, Edith found pleasure in the simple things. She had a passion for crafts, creating beautiful and intricate works that brought joy to her and those lucky enough to receive them as gifts. Her love for thrift shopping was more than a hobby; it was an adventure she embarked on with her family, each outing a treasure hunt that often ended with laughter and cherished memories.

Edith's legacy is one of love, creativity, and family. Her presence was a gift to those who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt. Yet, the memories she created, the traditions she cherished, and the love she shared will continue to live on through her family and friends. Edith Marie Brake's story is not one of an ending, but a beautiful reminder of the impact one life can have on so many others.

As we bid farewell to Edith, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by joy, and a spirit that will forever inspire us to cherish our loved ones and make the most of every moment we are given. Rest in peace, dear Edith; your light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved you.

Edith loved crafts so much she made every single family member the knome ornaments. She loved them so much. I remember her asking me if it was ok to make more, and all different colors. She had a color picked out for each family member. I was so happy she loved them and to make for the family. I know everyone that received one will cherish because she made them with love. Rest in Peace Edith you were a sweetheart.
