Ninabelle Hurt Weber, age 96, died at home in Evansville, Indiana, on October 8, 2025.

She was born in Yankeetown, Indiana, on February 21, 1929. She was the daughter of Oscar and Bessie (Hedges) Hurt, sister of Elowese and Elwood, and the wife of Donald E. Weber, all predeceased.

In her younger years, she helped with the family grocery and gas station in Newburgh, Indiana.

After graduating from Evansville College, she taught business and physical education to high school students in southwest Indiana. While attending college, she met the love of her life, Donald "Don" Weber. They married in 1950, and together they raised two children. In 1979, she and Don moved to Pensacola Beach, Florida. She later retired as office administrator from The Friary, an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

She returned to Evansville in 2020, where she spent her final years with strength, courage, and remarkable good cheer.

She loved walking on the beach, collecting seashells, and watching the Blue Angels perform. She was an accomplished ballroom dancer, and a star yoga student until age 90. She traveled widely, visiting many states and countries, and she loved watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. On Sundays, she enjoyed tending the many flowers in her yard.

She loved Jesus. In one of her treasured Bible verses, Jesus said: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you." (Luke 11:9)

Surviving are her son, Gregory (Precious); her daughter and caregiver, Anita; six grandchildren, Courtney (Shawn) Creekmur, Ashley (Russell) Gibson, Dean, Denise (Elias Zagha), Andrew, and Stefanie; and three great-grandchildren, Cora and Kelton Creekmur, and Jace Gibson.

A private burial service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Nana was my second "mom." She always told me even though I wasn´t her biological daughter she loved me like one. I have so many cherished childhood and adulthood memories of Aunt Ninabelle and Uncle Don. They were always so good to me and treated me as their own. When I had children of my own, "Nana" always welcomed them with open arms and love. We all loved her very much and will miss her!
