Danny Duane Clay was born April 2, 1956, to Gordon O'Dell Clay and Margaret Frances Clay in Topeka KS. Danny was raised in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

He graduated from Owaso High School in 1974 in Owasso, Oklahoma. He joined the Army in 1975; between the Army and National Guard he served his country for 23 years. After retirement he lived in Keller Texas and decided to move South Carolina to be near his sister Cindy and spoil his great nieces and nephews. Ready for a change he moved back to Missouri for a new start.

After moving back to Missouri, he found the love of his life Marcella Suggs. They were united in marriage June 11, 2016.

Danny gained his wings on October 18, 2025. He was greeted at heaven's gate by his Lord and Savior, his mother and sister Frankie.

He is survived by his loving wife Marcella Clay, of the home. Two loving sons Eric Clay and his wife Tess (Roo) of Brunswick Missouri, Aaron Clay of Kansas City Missouri, two bonus children, he gained in marriage, daughter Desiree Stinchfield and her husband Clint and another son Josh Groshans and his wife Mandi of Largo Florida. Danny finally got the grandchildren he always wanted with Bayleigh, Tyler, lan, Isabella, Irena and Isaac. His siblings, who he was adored by, Sandra Daly of Wisconsin, Cynthia Grimes and husband Ray of Greenville South Carolina, and Alyson Day and spouse Randy of Wann Oklahoma. Danny will also be remembered by a special cousin Randy Mobley and wife Dana of Holts Summit Missouri.

Danny was an amazing uncle to Robert, Christian, Jeffrey, Rhett, Karianne, Meghin and Nicholas. He also leaves behind 12 great nieces and nephews. Danny was loved by his family and will be remembered as the best uncle.

He was a wonderful man spending the last 10 years with the love of his life Marcella. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs, the casino, fishing, and golfing with his favorite son in law Clint.

Danny's passing will leave a hole in our hearts, but we will be forever grateful for having him with us.
