Richard Colombe, 61, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born August 15, 1964 in East Orange, New Jersey to the late Mary Louise (Tafel) and Richard Colombe.
Richard attended Irvington Technical School in Irvington, NJ. He was a produce manager and had also worked as a deckhand at Casino Aztar. Most recently, Richard was a dock worker at T.J. Maxx. He was very serious about his nutrition and fitness. Richard was devoted to maintaining an active lifestyle. Working out regularly, he liked to lift weights and especially enjoyed spending time riding his bike. Richard loved listening to music and was an avid AC/DC fan.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Nathaniel Colombe; sisters, Marsha Miller and Carla (Jeff) Maggio; nieces and nephews, Denis Wojtan, John Wojtan, Nicole Miller, Gina Maggio and Jeffery Maggio; great niece and nephews, John, Cassidy, Chris and Landon; step-siblings, Linda Bass, Robert LaForrest, Edward LaForrest, Barbara Presley, Brian LaForrest, Jeffery Lafforest, Tony LaForrest, Jeanette Steinhaer, Billy LaForrest and Steven LaForrest; and numerous step-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his step-siblings, John LaForrest, Gladys Jones, Alice Gessler and Penny Lynn.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville. A Funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like cactus or house plants in Richard's memory or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
