Bruce "Bushy" Alden Colombe, 75, of Duluth, passed away at home on December 3, 2024.
Bushy is one of ten children born to Edgar Colombe and June Colombe (Lindquist) on November 17, 1949. He was raised in Proctor, MN. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He worked his life in construction and was an avid fisherman and woodworker. Bushy was a hardworking man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He was full of adventure, jokes, and laughter and touched everyone who had an opportunity to know him. He was a hero to his daughters and the bravest, kindest man they've known.
Bushy was preceded in death by both his parents; granddaughter, Micaila Hey; and his twin sister, Bonnie Goodell (Colombe).
Bushy is survived by his wife, Carol Colombe (Lund); daughters, Robin Colombe and Rachel (Rob) Wagner; stepdaughter, Stacey Solem; stepson, Steven Solem; grandchildren, Jakob (Andrea) Hey, Meghan Wagner, Cesarea Solem, Kiana Solem, and Sophia Solem; and his remaining eight siblings, their spouses, and their families.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to St. Luke's Hospice for their phenomenal care of Bushy and the family during his illness. Special thank you to Twin Ports Cremation Services and Sunrise Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 13th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Highway with memorial service to follow at Noon. Bushy will be buried near his mother at Meadowlands Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send fishing lures!
