Minnie "Jodi" JoAnn (Powell) Beasley-Parker, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 at Heart to Heart Hospice surrounded by family.
Jodi was born in Vincennes, Indiana on January 25, 1938 to the late Frank and Dorothy (Moore) Powell. She owned and operated Norrell, a staffing service from 1981 until 1999 with her first husband, Don. Jodi was an active member of Bethel Church for 55 years. Music played a significant role in Jodi's life and she shared her gift as a church soloist. This included singing on top of the Living Christmas Tree for numerous years at Bethel Church. During her free time she enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, completing many throughout the years. Jodi will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and Mimi.
Jodi is survived by her husband of 16 years, Robert Parker of Evansville, IN; sons, Troy Beasley (Irene) of Waddell, AZ and Eric Beasley (Kim) of Evansville, IN ; grandchildren, Adam Beasley, Ryan Beasley, Rachel Liebrich (Jordan), Cameron Beasley (Jess Lofton), Collin Beasley, Miranda Beasley; bonus great-grandson, Atlas Clouse and nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents, Jodi was preceded in death by her first husband of 46 years, C. Don Beasley; sister, Naomi Jones and brother, Jimmie Powell.
A celebration of Jodi's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Stephen Schwambach officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Heart to Heart Hospice and the doctors at Ascension St. Vincent for their compassionate care.
