Robert "Bob" K. Minton age 73, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Heart to Heart Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
Bob was born in Evansville, Indiana, on May 9, 1952, to the late Henrietta (Tepool) Minton and S. H. Minton. Bob grew up in Evansville where he attended Rex Mundi High School and graduated from Harrison High School in 1970. During his high school years, Bob played both football and baseball. He managed his family's business, the Dairy Queen, in Boonville for 30 years.
After retiring, Bob worked part-time at Chic-Fil-A in Eastland Mall. Outside of work, Bob was an avid reader. He enjoyed traveling and seeing different places of our country. Bob also liked watching sports. Bob was a devoted and loving husband, brother, and uncle, and family held the prime place within his heart.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Marcia (Dunn) Minton; sisters, Joan McCune (Danny Schoffstall) and Chris Jackson (Darryl); brothers, Mike Minton and Tim Minton (Linda), all of Evansville, IN; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Minton; and sister, Jean Bruce.
Per Bob's request, there will be no services. A private entombment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Anthony Stephens and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care.
