Scott Edward Froehle
1963 – 2025
Scott Edward Froehle, age 62, of Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, after courageously facing frontotemporal dementia brain disease.
Scott was born July 27, 1963, son of Robert and Janet (Milewsky) Froehle, in Buffalo Center, Iowa. He graduated from City High School Class of 1981, and graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa four years later.
Scott's life was shaped by hard work, loyalty, and a hearty sense of fun and games. After making Arizona his home in 1986, Scott served his community for 36 years as an insurance agent, building and running his own business with integrity and care. His clients were more than customers; many became friends.
Scott carried his competitive spirit from his days as an All-American college football player into every chapter of his life. Whether spending quality time with his family, captaining his beloved MasterCraft boat, perfecting the art of America's finest burger at the grill, or battling friends on the pickleball court, he lived out loud and with enthusiasm. He had a sweet tooth, a playful sense of humor, and a warmth that drew others in. He was a true goofball in the best sense - always ready with a joke, a contagious smile, or a helping hand.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kim (Walters) Froehle, and their beautiful daughters, Morgan Catherine Dowd (Kevin) and MacKenzie Carter Froehle (Cam), who will forever carry his laughter, lessons, and love in their hearts.
Scott is also survived by his mother Janet Froehle, brother Steve (Dawn) Froehle, sisters Beth (Tom) Simpson and Pamela (Craig) Kuhse, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his father Robert Froehle.
A Catholic Mass to celebrate Scott's life will be held at St. Patrick's Church, Iowa City, on October 31, 2025. This visitation is at 9:00 a.m. and the funeral at 10:00, followed by a luncheon at the Church, with a private burial.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Scott's memory to Central College Journey Scholarship Fund. Scott and Kim would not have been able to attend a Liberal Arts college without assistance and we would love to help other students have that opportunity. https://central.edu/alumni/journey-scholarship-fund/
