Dennis Russell Gamble

Dennis Russell Gamble, 79, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023.
A service will be held at a later date in Colorado.
Dennis was born and raised in Carlisle, IA, where he graduated from Carlisle High School. He attended Drake University before joining the US Army during the Vietnam War. Dennis spent much of his service at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, CO due to his medical training. Dennis spent most of his adult life in Colorado working as a Medical Technologist. For a number of years, he owned and operated his own medical laboratory, Fort Collins Clinical Laboratory, and later retired from Banner Hospital in Loveland, CO. In retirement, Dennis and his wife moved to Winterville, NC. He was an avid golfer, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Maxine Gamble; sister, Sandra Schnathorst; and granddaughter, Amanda Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Connie Gamble; sons, Kenneth Craig Moore and wife, Lisa, Robert Wade Moore and wife, Tavi, and John Michael Gamble; grandchildren, Donovan, Caleb, Sydney, Tanner, Eli, and Jessie; great-grandchildren, Emmitt, Benson, Daxton, Jessi, and Bayla; and special nephews, Danny, David, and JJ Schnathorst.
