He was born on January 29, 1981 in Marion to Dennis and Jeri Lynn (Spaven) Hanson, He enjoyed being around cars and motorcycles, going camping, visiting the state of Michigan, and playing all sports.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father Dennis Hanson; maternal grandfather Curtis Spaven; paternal grandfather Dennis Hanson; and paternal grandmother Connie Garten.
He is survived by his mother Jeri (Rick) Morthland; four sons Ethan, Cameron, Gage, and Knox Hanson; maternal grandmother Glenda Spaven-McGuire; paternal grandmother Claudine Hanson; brothers James Hanson and Jason Hanson; aunts Teri Jo Spaven, Kim (Aaron) Wolfe, Kelly Spaven, and Kristy Spaven; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday August 9, 2025 in the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort at 11am with Bro. Mike Cash officiating. Interment will be in the Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am prior to the service.
