SPENCERVILLE -- Dennis Wayne Harruff, 76, of Spencerville, passed away at 7:58 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the OSU James Cancer Center in Columbus, following a short illness.
He was born September 18, 1945 in Lima, a son of the late Merle and Anna Horvath Harruff. On April 9, 1967, he married Roxanne Smith, who passed away August 1, 2007.
Denny is survived by his daughter, Tammy Lyn Riemann of Spencerville, his granddaughters, Amber Lyn (Mike George III) Coil, Jessica Lynn Riemann and Elizabeth Ann-Marie (Miguel Fuson) Riemann, all of Spencerville and great grandchildren, Julian Marcus Coil, Eliyana Lyn George and Penelope Rose Powell.
Preceding him in death are his great granddaughter, Alayna Lyn Nishay George and his siblings, Infant Irene Harruff, Barbara Harruff, Jean Harruff, Larry Harruff, and his twin, Dwight Harruff.
Denny attended the Spencerville Schools and then served in the U.S. Army. He retired after 37 years work at the Sandkuhl Tile Factory in Kossuth.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 191 and the VFW Post 6772, both of Spencerville, serving in the Color Guard for many years. He enjoyed being with his family and woodworking.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Daniel Hub officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery with military rites by the Army Honor Guard and the Spencerville Veterans.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 2 PM Monday at the funeral home.

My dad every morning asked what I was to do, my answer was work the store, do you hafta? Yes I have to pay the bill, ohhh man. I took him every Monday for his malt extra malt and foot long with mustard and relish. I miss his smile and beautiful smile. RIP dad.
