Dennis Hinckley Obituary
Dennis John Hinckley, a cherished family man and beacon of kindness, passed away on April 14, 2024, in Nashville, Michigan, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 15, 1979, in Hastings, Michigan, Dennis's warm smile and thoughtful nature touched the lives of all who knew him throughout his 44 years.
Dennis was the beloved son of the late William and Carol Hinckley, and he carried their legacy of love and compassion with him in every aspect of his life. His dedication to family was unparalleled, and he found his greatest joy in the company of his children, Kodey (Christina) Hinckley, Shianne Hinckley, Ryan (Emily Eisner) Hinckley, Jonathon Hinckley, and Timothee Hinckley. Dennis's role as a grandfather to Henry Service was one of his most treasured, and the moments they shared will forever be held close to Henry's heart.
A loving brother as well, Dennis is survived by his sisters, Heather Hinckley (Chad Howell) and Tascha Hinckley (Larry Brady). His role as an uncle to Jordan (Gabrielle) Hinckley, Akwa Brady, and Breanna Brady was filled with laughter, guidance, and endless support. Dennis's presence in their lives will be profoundly missed.
Dennis's educational journey included obtaining his GED and certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), showcasing his commitment to helping others and his passion for providing care to those in need. His career as a CNA allowed him to touch many lives with his innate ability to make each person feel seen and valued.
Those who knew Dennis will remember him for his loving heart, kindness, and thoughtful approach to every situation. His interests centered around spending quality time with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished and recounted for generations. Dennis's laughter and stories brought light into every room, and his impact on his community cannot be overstated.
As we bid farewell to Dennis John Hinckley, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. He was a man who understood the importance of connection, the strength of gentleness, and the power of a kind word. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been part of his journey.
To honor the memory of Dennis, let us hold our loved ones a little closer, speak words of kindness a little more often, and remember that the love we share is the most enduring of legacies. Though he has left this earthly realm, the essence of who he was remains with us, guiding us like a lighthouse's beam through the fog of grief.
Dennis's life will be celebrated on April 27 at 11:00am,at the First Baptist Church in Hastings. ( 309 W. oodlawn Ave). With a luncheon to follow. As we reflect on the time we were privileged to share with Dennis, we are reminded that while his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit continues to dwell in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his gentle soul. Rest in peace, Dennis, until we meet again.
