SOUTHBRIDGE/WHITINSVILLE: Dennis N. Kimball, 75, of Green Avenue in Southbridge, and formerly of North Main Street in Whitinsville, passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2025, after a brave battle with illness.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gail (Nickerson) Kimball, who passed in June of 2015.
Dennis is survived by his three daughters: Gracia Kimball of Worcester, Sonya Robinson and her husband Rob of Southbridge, and Bonnie Kimball of Southbridge. He will also be dearly remembered by his two brothers, Mark Kimball of North Carolina and Kevin Kimball of Maine, as well as his sister, Jacqueline Leighton of Florida. Dennis cherished his role as a grandfather, leaving behind four grandchildren: Michael Casey III, Meighan Casey and her partner Bella Thompson, Amethyst Robinson, and Anastasia Pitt and her husband Colby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.
Born in Framingham, Dennis was the son of the late Norman and Clara (Coreless) Kimball. He dedicated his life to the Blackstone Valley area before making his home in Southbridge.
Dennis earned his business degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and devoted 46 years to his career at Bay State Surface Technologies Inc., now known as Aimtek, in Auburn. His commitment to public service was evident in his role as a Firefighter/EMT, during which he served the Northbridge Fire Department for 15 years, as well as the Upton and Shrewsbury Fire Departments.
A passionate collector of firefighting memorabilia, Dennis found his greatest joy in his family and cherished every moment spent with them. As a young couple, he and his beloved wife shared a love for weekly square dancing and created lasting memories together camping and enjoying the great outdoors
He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, community, and the values he held dear throughout his life. Dennis’s legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22, at 11:00 AM in Lakeside Cemetery, North Main Street Upton, MA.
