Dennis Michael Lamy

Dennis Michael Lamy passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 63. He was born in Jackson, Mississippi on July 4, 1961, and was a long-time resident of the New Orleans Westbank. However, his love of the beach led him to later reside in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Dennis was a graduate of River Oaks Academy and earned a degree in accounting from La. Tech. He was extremely talented in this field and spent his career in the marine industry. Dennis had a love of animals, especially his 3 cats. During his younger years, he competed and won numerous body building events. Most of all, Dennis was a true example of giving. His compassion for those less fortunate was displayed throughout his life.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Marcia Kron Lamy and brother Daniel Patrick Lamy. He is survived by his father Raymond, Sr., sister Leslie Champagne (Michael, Sr.) brothers Raymond, Jr. (Jann), Timothy (Kathleen), and nephews Michael Champagne, Jr. (Christine), Ryan, Rhett, Toby (Julie), L. Nick, godchild Kyle (Abby), Deven-Paul, and Trevor (Connie) Lamy.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until funeral time. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Louisiana SPCA.
