Dennis Lebbin Obituary
May 26, 1942 - April 19, 2024
Ellinwood, Kansas - Dennis was born to Clarence and Lucile (Richardson) Lebbin on May 26, 1942 in Great Bend, Kansas. He passed away April 19, 2024. He graduated from Ellinwood HS in 1960. Dennis proudly served in the Army from 1962-1965. He worked as Office Manager in the 3rd INF HG to AG in Wurzburg, Germany and was Office Manager in the 7th Army HG to the Assistant AG in Stuttgart, Germany. Dennis then graduated in 1967 from KSTC in Data Processing and had his career in Wichita, Kansas. He married his wife, Carol (Small) on August 28, 1966.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 58 years; his two sons, Mark (Helen), El Dorado, Kansas, and Paul (Valerie), Ottawa Ontario, Canada; 6 grandchildren, Hannah, Rebekah, Holton, Xavier, Noah and Aiden; great-grandson, Sam; brother Kenneth (Robin), Ellinwood, Kansas; sisters, Judy (Richard) Jenisch, Sublette, Kansas; Trisha (Rob) Dove, Ellinwood, Kansas.
He enjoyed collecting classic cars, American Flyer electric trains and all things collectible. He never missed a game that his boys played. He loved his family, his hometown of Ellinwood and the church where he received his foundation. His faith in God was strengthened in recent years as he battled health issues.
Funeral services will be 10 AM, April 25 at St. John Lutheran Church, Ellinwood with Pastor Thomas Thierfelder officiating. Interment with military honors by United States Army will follow at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-8 PM with family present from 7-8 at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church or Ellinwood Hospital Foundation in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246 Ellinwood, KS 67526
