Dennis L. Lennox, a Vietnam veteran, loving son and brother, and passionate supporter of the arts, passed away peacefully at the age of 81. Born and raised in Watertown, NY, Dennis was a proud member of the United States Army, serving from 1964 to 1966. After his military service, he went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career with USAirways, retiring in 1998 after 34 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, Dennis continued to share his love of the theater by working at Syracuse Stage until 2010.
A true enthusiast of the arts, Dennis had a deep appreciation for theater, traveling, and all things Irish. His kindness, humor, and joy for life touched many, and his love of entertaining brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Anita (Comper) Lennox and John King Lennox, as well as his brothers George and Robert, and sisters Arlene Orr, Betty Weymouth, Shirley DeGone, Beverly Shaw, Joan Randall, and Diane Hamer.
He is survived by his brothers, John J. (Marie) Lennox and Edward H. (Sally) Lennox; his brother-in-law Donald Shaw, and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
In honoring Dennis's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private interment will take place later this spring.
Donations may be made in Dennis's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or disabled veterans of America. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who loved him.

Denny was a gem of a man. He was so much fun. Denny was a huge part of my childhood and then my adulthood when he helped me find a house when I moved back to Syracuse and became his neighbor. I loved seeing him at every festival in Syracuse and at the job he hooked me up with selling subscriptions at Syracuse Stage. He will forever be a part of my life story. Rest in peace Denny. You are loved.
