Dennis was born on August 17, 1946 to the late Harvey and Ada (Peters) Mark. He was a graduate of Millersville University and then taught in the New York State School System for 13 years. He had a passion for playing piano and the organ and had the privilege of playing cathedral organs in New York. He also served as the organist for Grace United Church of Christ. Dennis was an avid gardener. He loved listening to music, reading, and watching the Discovery and History channels.
Surviving are his nephews, Michael Shay, Gary Snyder, and nieces Jackie Wolfe and Kendra Allen. He was preceded in death by his brother - Kenneth Mark; and sisters - Arlene Long and Christine Shay, and nephew - R. Bruce Shay.
Services are private.
