He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Donna Burchfield; brother, Garnie Thomas Mauk Jr.; parents, Garnie Thomas Mauk Sr. and Helen Imogene Mauk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Rita Mauk; daughter, Pamela Cottner and husband Christopher; granddaughter, Makenna Sierra Heck "Sissy"; grandson, Riley Brandon Heck "HotRod"; sister, Kimberly Richards and husband Steve; sister, Deborah Ann Perry; several brothers and sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; special friends, Rick and Joyce Smith, Roy and Paula Shortt.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 15th from 5-7pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will begin at 7pm with Rev. Jerry Manis officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 16th at Horne Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be: Thomas Burchfield, Anthony Burchfield, Justin Burchfield, Rick Smith, Christopher Cottner, Roaster Nathan Armstrong, and Bryan Dillard. Honorary pallbearers will be: Wayne Burchfield and Roy Shortt. Friends and family may visit the Mauk's residence at anytime. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.christiansells.com
