Dennis Michael Newland

Dennis Michael Newland, age 69, of Lima passed away August 21, 2025 after a difficult battle with cancer. He was born November 8, 1955 in Lima to the late Paul A. and Mary I. (Thomas) Newland. On June 14, 1974, he married his wife of 51 years, Leanne Pearson, and she survives in Lima.
Dennis was a fun-loving man with a good sense of humor, he loved to make others laugh. He was a groundskeeper and had a love for plants, flowers, and gardening. His love of the outdoors also led him to enjoy camping. He was a die-hard Cleveland Brown's fan and also enjoyed cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. His true passion, however, was spending time with his family. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and he loved his dogs- especially his baby Parker who loyally supported him through everything.
He is also survived by his children- Sarah E. Newland, Kelly A. McGue, D. Michael Newland, and Matthew A. Newland, all of Lima; and his grandchildren- Ashley, Aaron, Ashlyn, and Zachary.
No services will be held at this time but the family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date to honor Dennis.
