Dennis W. Prince, 74 of Madison Heights, Virginia, passed away on November 4, 2025. He was the son of the late Rev. Joe Richard Prince and Willodene Weathers Prince.
Dennis was born on September 13, 1951, in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated high school at Onancock High School on Eastern Shore of Virginia, then pursued electronics at Central Virginia Community College in Lynchburg, VA.
Dennis was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed sports cars, fishing, and piddling in the garage and his time as a member of Monelison Volunteer Fire Department with 25 years service and also his working career as an audio-visual technician within the nuclear field.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jackie Camden Prince; brother and sister in law, Joe and Merle Prince and their children Claudia Cannon (Bobby) and Sean (Stacey), brother in law, Allen Martin and children Sandra Blader (Rob) and Jeff Martin (Joyce); sisters-in-law, Nancy Camden and Brenda Watson (Tim) and their children, Allyson Clark (Leon); Mark Watson (Brooke); and Kristy Watson (Derrick) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Diane Martin and nephew David Prince and mother-in-law Mildred Rice Camden (Jack).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Monelison Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 56, Madison Heights, Virginia 24572.
A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, November 9 at Tharp Funeral Home in Madison Heights from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating at 2:00 pm to honor his life. A private burial will take place at a future date.
