Mike graduated from Flaget High School in 1961. He went on to become a tool and die maker at General Electric and quickly went into management, a position he held for 38 years.
Mike loved woodworking, creating many pieces of beautiful furniture that will forever be treasured by his family and friends. He built hot rods, including a '34 Ford and a '39 Buick. He traveled the entire United States as well as many overseas countries. He was a Catholic, an avid golfer and a gourmet cook, spending many volunteer hours at the Agape Shop in LaGrange. He loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Guy Puffer and Margaret Puffer Walsh, and brother Wayne Puffer (Lucy).
In addition to his wife Ann, he is survived by sisters Sandy Feely (Tom), Susan Rosett (Barry), Jenny Delgado (Ed), and brothers, Brian Puffer (Kathy), Terry Puffer (Debbie); his four children Jill Hall (Todd), Dennis Puffer Jr, Chistopher Puffer (Lisa), and Andrew Puffer (Emily); his wonderful ten grandchildren Alex Hall (Lauren), Daniel Hall, Dennis "Micheal" Puffer III, Sydney Ratliff (Tyler), Claire Puffer, Katherine Puffer, Samuel Puffer, Chloe Puffer, Adam Puffer and Margo Puffer; and one great grandchild, Theodore Hall, with his second great grandchild on the way.
The visitation will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Pearson Funeral Home at 149 Breckinridge Lane, Louisville, KY 40207 from 4:00-7:00pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 18, 2025 ay 12 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckinridge Lane, Louisville, KY 40207.
Mike will be laid to rest following the funeral mass at Calvery Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The de Paul School, 1925 Duker Avenue, Louisville, KY 40205 in Mike's honor.
Arrangements under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home. "Where Louisville goes to Remember."
