Dennis "Louis" Pugh

Mr. Dennis "Louis" Pugh- age 76, Coach Pugh passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Family hour 10:30 AM Friday, February 27, 2026 at Franklin Road Church of Christ, 1400 Franklin Road, Pontiac, MI 48341, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM (Military Service will start at 11AM). Pastors Donale and Lonale Stewart Officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at 10:30AM at the church on Friday. Mr. Pugh will lie instate at the church and may be viewed from 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.

Mr. Pugh leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Tracy Pugh (Ernest) Moore; his sons, Deon Pugh and Garfield Bridges Jr; father figure to David Luchtman; three grandsons, Jeamoni "G" Myers, D'Ante Pugh, and Ernest L. Moore III; three granddaughters, Kendall Bridges, Emmerson Bridges, and Savannah Attalla; two great-grandsons, Mateo LoSano and DeCarri Pugh; two great-granddaughters, Camryn Pugh and Cailyn Pugh; and siblings, Vallie Witherspoon, Arnell Pugh, Martha Linda Ester Pugh, Juanita (William) Bradford, Harold Pugh, Charles Pugh, John Pugh, Norma Coleman, and Cornelia (Norris) Toussaint.

He also leaves a special niece and nephew, Michelle Bennetts and Ben (Michelle) Bennetts; his godchildren, Carmen (David) Stovall, Kenosha "Kim" McAlpine, Travis (Lisann) McAlpine, and Sam McClendon; special friends Shirley Glazier, James (Diane) McAlpine, George (Mary) Strango, and longtime barber of 51 years, Amelia Williams; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, basketball players, employees and clients.

Dennis was preceded in death by his biological parents, Annie Lue Pugh and Clarence Pugh; his foster parents, Sadie Dupree and Jessie Dupree; and his siblings, Esther Dupree, Lucille Dupree, Harold Dupree, Walter Dupree, Albert Dupree, Delores Dupree, and Jack Dupree.
