Dennis L Resech, age 78, from Stetsonville WI, lost his battel with cancer on Monday, December 30, 2024.
Dennis was born in Medford, WI on March 27, 1946, to Louise Griesbach of Perkinstown, WI. He grew up in the Medford/Perkinstown area and graduated from Medford High School in 1965. He joined the Naval Reserves while in high school and upon graduation went onto active duty serving on a Navy supply ship. All through his life, he continued to be a very patriotic person.
On August 27, 1966, Dennis married Karen Blasel of Dorchester WI, and they moved to Philadelphia, PA, where he finished his active duty.
After getting out of the service, they together lived in Indiana, where he worked at Household Finance and other misc. jobs, including security at the Sears Towers in downtown Chicago IL. After having two sons, they decided to move back to the Stetsonville area in 1970.
After moving back to Wisconsin, Dennis had misc. jobs until 1988 when he decided to start his own business doing welding, repair and manufacturing of custom trailers with his son David. They branched out to retail trailers and parts in 1992, then moving to Medford as RWS Trailer Supplies. He then retired in 2016.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen and two sons, James (Pamela) Resech of Curtiss, WI and David (Sandra) Resech of Medford, WI. His six grandchildren: Aaron Firnstahl of Marshfield, WI, Alex (Katelyn) Resech of Arpin, WI, Ashley (Joe) Clarke of Medford, WI, Zachary Stange of Madison, WI, Kotty Resech of Curtiss, WI and Corey Resech of Medford, WI. Five great grandchildren: Aiden, Kaylee, Cooper and Hudson Resech of Arpin, WI, and Landon Clarke of Medford, WI.
A celebration of life will be planned for early summer.
