Dennis Thomas passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025 at the age of 75.
He was united in peace with his beloved wife of 45 years, Gloria. Brothers, Danforth and David. Son-in-law, Christopher Burke. Though our hearts ache with his loss, we find comfort in knowing he's back with those he loved and missed so deeply.
He is survived by his loving children: Cindy (Mark ) Burrows, Dennis Thomas, James (Amy) Thomas, Nikki McKnight, and Michele Burke.
A proud and devoted grandfather, he leaves behind 11 cherished grandchildren-Ryan & Amber Burrows: Logan & Fraser Thomas: Jacob & Madison Thomas: Marquet & James Clark: Abigail McKnight: Emma & Elizabeth Burke-As well as three great-grandchildren: Shawn, Kamryn and Nova who brought him immense joy and pride. Brother, Douglas Thomas. Sister-in-law, Barbara Couchman and Patricia Thomas. Several nieces and nephews, many friends.
Family meant everything to Dennis, and he was never happier than when surrounded by those he loved. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life, and he took great pride in each of their accomplishments and unique personalities.
In his younger years, Dennis found peace and joy outdoors. He was especially loved hunting and spending time at the Thomas Lodge with his brothers, where lifelong memories were made and stories were shared around the fire.
Dennis will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love of family, quiet strength, and the legacy of togetherness he leaves behind.
The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Wednesday September 24, 2025 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Celebration of Life will be held following visitation at 6pm. in the chapel of the funeral home.
