Dennis Mearle Windle Jr.

Dennis Mearle Windle Jr. 50, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Wabash General Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1974, in Mount Carmel, the son of Dennis Sr. and Donna (Huggins) Windle.
Dennis loved fishing and working on cars. He had a passion for grilling and smoking food. Dennis loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and his hometown Aces Football. He also loved being outside gardening, mowing the grass and spending time with family and friends. Dennis had a heart of gold and never turned down anyone who needed his help. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Donna Windle; children, Kali Windle of Mount Carmel, Addison and Zoie Windle of Evansville, Austin Windle of Mississippi, Candace (Darrin) Rumsey of Mount Carmel, Paige Burnett of Vincennes, Zachary (Rachel) Mills of Evansville, Taylor (Aleesha) Mills of Mount Carmel; brother, Brian Windle of Mount Carmel; sisters, Amy Tomblinson, of Mount Carmel, Stacy Duggan of Evansville, IN; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Dennis M. Windle Sr.; son, Christian Windle; grandparents, Vernon and Emmalea Windle, William Huggins and Gladys Huggins.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Friendsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis' memory to Donna Windle to help offset his final expenses. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
