Dennis Larry "Denny" Bland Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 28, 2026, in his hometown of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Born on June 3, 1972, Denny graced this world with his presence for 53 vibrant years.

A wonderful husband to Angela Sullivan Bland for 23 years, Denny was her entire world, and she is lost without him. His good heart and wisdom were evident in every aspect of his life. As a father, he was great, but as a grandfather, he was even better, cherishing every moment with his grandchildren. Denny loved his family deeply and worked hard to provide for them, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.

Denny is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Bland, and his cherished Chihuahua, Nacho. He is survived by his devoted wife, AngelaSullivan Bland; his father, Dennis Larry Bland Sr.; his children, Tiffany Grier (husband James, children Zoey and Noah), Christian Trujillo (mother of child Angel Farrior, son Dior Trujillo, one on the way Aliyah), Santana Medlin, Raelynn Medlin, Tracy Trujillo (boyfriend Will Giddings, son Owen Trujillo), and Elisa Trujillo (daughter Emery). He also leaves behind his sister, Tina Antwine (husband Steve, son Jake Antwine, daughter Kaleigh Antwine), and his uncle Marvin Bland. Denny's household was filled with the joy of his pets, including dogs Sassy, Sugar, Craig, Day Day, and his cat Charlie.

Denny was a man of many talents and interests. He worked as a construction painter, a profession that allowed him to express his artistic flair. His passion for painting extended beyond his work, as he was known for his beautifully painted surfboards that captured the essence of his love for the ocean. An avid surfer and skater, Denny embraced life with an energetic spirit and lived each day to the fullest.

Denny was good at everything he set his mind to, and his wisdom and love will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a man who brought joy and light to everyone around him. As the family navigates this difficult time, please support Denny's family with final expenses.
