Eva Frances Bradley

Eva Frances Bradley, affectionately known as Frances, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 at the Kempton of Jacksonville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Graveside service will be Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 pm with Rev. Damon Williamson officiating.

Born on December 19, 1930, in Dover, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mannie and Leila Wright. Frances dedicated many years of her life working as a meat wrapper for Colonial Store, which later became Big Star. Upon retirement, she and her husband embraced the tranquility of beachside living, savoring their time together. As they grew older, they returned to Jacksonville, where they spent their remaining years.

Frances was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Gordon Bradley Sr., with whom she shared a life filled with joy and companionship. She was also preceded by her parents and four sisters, Lucille, Edith, Beatrice, and Catherine, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

Frances is survived by her loving sons, Gordon Jr. and his wife, Diana, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Jimmy and his wife, Virginia, of Plaistow, New Hampshire. Her legacy continues through her grandsons, Chris, Josh, Jimmy, Eric, and Aaron, and her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Fletcher, Gwen, and Braylyn. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear.

Frances and Gordon are now reunited in heaven, rejoicing together once more. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
