Denver Beddingfield

Denver Franklin Beddingfield, born on September 2, 1940, in Henderson County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, at the age of 85. He was born and raised in Henderson County, but also lived in Virginia, Alabama and Michigan before moving back to NC. Denver was a cherished member his community, known for his dedication and commitment both in his professional endeavors and personal interests.

Denver worked for the Federal Government for 34 years, first with the Department of the Navy, then transferred to the Department of Defense and finally with the Government Printing Office. His career was marked by diligence and a strong work ethic, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

In addition to his professional life, Denver had a profound love for the great outdoors. He spent several years as a volunteer ranger at Glacier National Park, sharing his passion for nature and conservation. He also dedicated time as a ranger at Dupont State Forest, where he delighted in hiking and exploring the beauty around him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mae and Henry Beddingfield, his devoted wife Melba Jeane Beddingfield, his brother Carlos Wayne Beddingfield, sister Patricia Hope Beddingfield, sister-in-laws Mary "Peggy" Beddingfield and Marilyn Henson, and nieces Elizabeth Beddingfield Jones and Sharon Beddingfield.

Denver is survived by his loving daughter Kristina Beddingfield of Zirconia, NC, his son David Beddingfield and wife Suzanne of Piedmont, SC, and his adored grandchildren Jordan Beddingfield, Justin Beddingfield, Parker Beddingfield, Allie Moody, Arabella Moody, and Elijah Moody. He also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Gideon Beddingfield, as well as his niece Waynette Beddingfield, nephews Brayden Campbell, Scott Henson, and Michael Henson, along with many other dear family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

A service to celebrate Denver's life will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Hendersonville Church of God, located at 2103 Brevard Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28791. The family will receive friends during a visitation prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
