DEON ROLAND WASHINGTON

Deon R. Washington entered eternal rest on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the age of 58. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Deon was a graduate of L B Landry Sr. High School. He was employed with the Army Corps of Engineers as a maintenance supervisor. Loving father of Deonca and Deonte Brooks. Son of the late Malinda Norwood Washington. Grandson of the late Luther and Fannie Mae Norwood. Brother of Tessekhan, Toren, and Brent Washington, Robert Thompson, and the late Vesta, Terry, Indren, Leonard, and Viosca Washington. Nephew Mildred, Margaret, Robert, and Spencer Norwood. Fiancé of Tracy Lewis also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Fischer Community Church 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church.
