Derick John Bond, a beloved son, brother, and friend, left this world on September 5, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on May 14, 1975, Derick filled the lives of those around him with warmth and laughter. Known for his infectious smile and kind heart, he had a unique way of bringing people together, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Derick was a man who embraced life with passion. He cherished moments spent with family. His genuine spirit of kindness resonated with everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Derick exemplified what it meant to be a true friend.
As we remember Derick, let us gather to celebrate his life and the joy he brought to so many. Friends and family are invited to say their farewells during the viewing on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Lester Lackey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1163 Reynolds Street SW, Covington, GA 30014. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Chief Cornerstone Community Church, 2900 Salem Rd SE, Conyers, GA 30013, Interment will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road Covington, GA 30014. Derick will lie instate at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
Though Derick’s presence will be deeply missed, his love and legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. As we gather to honor his memory, let us find comfort in the beautiful moments we shared with this remarkable man.
