Derrell Sears Obituary
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Lucille Elrod Hawkins. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
Surviving her is son, Paul (Sheila) Sears of Anderson; daughter, Barbara (Thomas) Dixon of Belton; sisters, Carolyn Williamson, Betty Hanks, Rita O'Neal; brother, Ted Hawkins; grandchildren, Connor Dixon, Alexis Sears, Olivia Dixon and great granddaughter, Abigail Dixon.
She was preceded in death by sister, Mary McClain, brother Ray Hawkins and grandson Grayson Dixon.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday December 18, 2025, at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Clarence Adkins and Rev. Wayne Watson officiating.
The family will hold a private burial.
The family will receive friends prior to service on Thursday December 18, 2025, from 2:00PM until 2:45PM at Long Branch Baptist Church.
In lieu of flower memorials can be made to Long Branch Baptist Church, Hospice of the Upstate or Baptist Medical and Dental Mission International, Frank Welch's Team.
The family will be at their respective homes.
Cox Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
