Derrick "Diesel" Abernathy

Derrick Damont Abernathy, the son of Sandra L. Abernathy and Darryl A. Sims, was born on January 22, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Derrick attended the Indianapolis Public School System. Derrick was an entrepreneur, and he had dreams of starting his own printing company and starting a YouTube channel. Derrick loved to make and sell CDs. (He was the CD Man).
Derrick, also known as "Diezel", was the life of any party. He loved acting silly, making people laugh, and having a great time with his family and friends.
Derrick was very family-oriented and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Derrick had a passion for music. He loved some good food, and he enjoyed being outside.
Derrick Damont Abernathy departed this life on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the age of thirty-five years and eight months of age. Derrick was preceded by his grandmother, Evelyn Abernathy and his mother, Sandra Abernathy
Derrick is survived by his four children, Derrick, Jr., Deairra, Darinae, and Au'dri; three sisters, Rekita, Shantel, and Tamika Abernathy, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
