Derrick A. Farris

Mr. Derrick A. Farris, 62, of Kite passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Augusta University. He was born August 11, 1961, in Atlanta to Donald Derrick Farris and Gwendolyn Crenshaw Farris. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Farris loved hunting, golfing, fishing, and people. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Farris was the founder of the Farris Farm Hunting Club. He was the owner of Farris Construction. He was a member of the Swainsboro Country Club; their team's name was "Old Farts." Once he loved you, you were his best friend for life.

He is survived by wife, Alicia Morrison Farris; sons, Jeremy Farris, Matthew Farris and his wife Emma, Jared Morrison, and Camron Davis; daughter, Lauren Davis; sister, Roxanna Welborn; granddaughter, Josie Farris; niece, Claire Helvie.

Memorial Service will be 12:00 P.M., Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Brad McKenzie officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 26, 2024, at Chapman Funeral Home.
