Derrick Cordell Harris was born October 23, 1978 to the late Tom Harris Jr. And the late Earnestine D. Harris. He departed his earthly life in Parchman, MS on November 22, 2024.
Derrick joined (St. Paul Chicora) now known as Chicora United MB Church and was baptized at a young age. He sung in the choir. Derrick graduated from Greene County High School in 1998.
Derrick was preceded in death by both his parents; Tom Jr. and Earnestine D. Harris, his oldest brother Jimmy Harris, his grandparents Dinah Harris, Ernest Dennis and Lillie Mae Dennis.
Derrick leaves to cherish his memories; his ex-wife and the mother of his children Amanda Collinsworth, and mother of another child Lisa Searle. His daughters; La' Nell Kelley, Miranda (Breanna) Collinsworth, and Courtney Harris, his sons: Noah Collinsworth and Dante Sillavan, his brothers: Tommy Harris, Rodney Harris, Calvin Harris and Joseph Harris; his only sister: Glenda Harris, his grandchildren; Domonic, Mila, Avalyn and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Chicora United MB Church, with Bishop Karl Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Chicora-Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The viewing period will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Chicora United MB Church.
