Aloma Johnston, age 82 of Eutaw, passed away December 15, 2023 at Greene County Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at Union Christian Church Cemetery in Eutaw. Visitation will follow the graveside service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Elam and Vesta Smith and her grandparents; Elam and Alma Smith, and Mertin and Mary Jane Cox.
Survivors include her husband Jack R. Johnston of Eutaw,Alabama daughter; Aimee Blair Shouse of Jonesboro, Arkansas, son; James Wailon Blair, Jr. of Northport, Alabama, sisters; Yvonne Smith and Greta Bambarger both of Eutaw, grandchildren; Jaimee Bules, Regan Broussard, and Laura Lee Potts.
Aloma was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on October 9, 1941. She was a lifelong resident of Greene County, Alabama. She graduated from Greene County High School and attended the University of Alabama. Aloma had a career in Health Information (medical records) and retired from Bryan Whitfield Hospital. She loved her family dearly, her co-workers at BWHM hospital, her flowers and chihuahua Pete. She was a loving wife, sister,mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Union Christian Church Cemetery Fund, 5242 County Road 191, Eutaw, Alabama 35462.
