James Graham "Jim" Morrow

James Graham Morrow ("Jim") was born on September 15, 1942, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Lucille Graham Morrow and James Patton Morrow. He grew up in Eutaw, Alabama, where he graduated from Greene County High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial and Business Administration from the University of Alabama in 1964 and married Lindal Hilburn later that same year.

Immediately following college, Jim began his career in real estate, working alongside his brother, Robert "Bob" Morrow. He later moved to Piedmont, Alabama, where he launched a lifelong career as a respected business owner and entrepreneur. Over more than four decades, he owned and operated furniture businesses, serving communities throughout Calhoun, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa Counties.

Jim was also a visionary real estate developer whose work contributed significantly to Oxford, Alabama's economic growth. He was the lead founder and developer of Cider Ridge Golf Course and the surrounding residential subdivision-projects that reflected his commitment to growth, community, and long-term vision. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jim authored two books, sharing his colorful wisdom, witticisms, and insights on leadership. While he took pride in his career, his greatest fulfillment came from his family and personal relationships.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was deeply involved in his grandchildren's lives and took great joy in being present for every event and milestone. An avid golfer, he cherished time spent on the course. Through both life's blessings and adversities, he taught those he loved that positivity, love, and togetherness are life's greatest treasures.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Patton and Lucille Morrow; his sons, Kim Patton Morrow and Kelly Taylor Morrow; his brother, Robert "Bob" Morrow; his sisters, Barbara Finley and Ann Morris; and his great-grandson, Patton Kove Morrow.

He is survived by his wife, Lindal Morrow; his son, Graham Morrow (Tammy); his grandsons, Tripp Morrow (Lauren), Caleb Morrow (Andrea), and Taylor Morrow (Alyssa); his great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Morrow; his nephews and nieces, Robert Morrow, David Morrow (Amy), Robby Finley (Trudy), and Joanne Cameron (Tony); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial service for Mr. Morrow will be Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from noon until time of service.
