Derrick "Carrot Top & Red" Mosley

Derrick Durell Mosley, age 20, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born on January 9, 2003, in New Orleans, LA. Derrick was a graduate of Eleanor McMain Secondary School who enjoyed spending time with his family and playing his game. He was employee of The House of Blues, and a Sophomore at Southeastern Louisiana University, studying Mechanical Engineering. He will be missed by all who knew him, including his uncle Ivan and aunt Danielle Mosley, who played an important role in his life.
Derrick is preceded in eternity by his brother, Da'Jun Mosley; great grandparents, Clarence Pajeaud Sr, and Joseph and Beatrice Mosley; 2 uncles, Jemile and Joshua Mosley; and cousin, Megale Mosley.
Derrick leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Shaqual Mosley and Lindsey Daniels; 7 sisters, Nartezya and brother-in-law of Houston, TX, Jasmine Dykes of Atlanta, GA, Katrice Daniels, Danene, Da'Riyah, Daja, and Desirae Mosley; 5 brothers, Lindsey and Treishon Dykes of Franklinton, LA, Lenzell and Patrick Livers, and Damien Mosley; niece, Taelyn; nephew, Laiden Dykes; maternal grandparents, Betty Jackson and Paul Mosley, Sr; paternal grandmother, Jeardine Daniels Sparks; and great grandmother, Gloria Pajeaud; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Friday, June 9, 2023, 10:00AM, at Eagle Wings Ministries, 1330 Delery St., NOLA. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the hour of service. Interment Daniels Cemetery, Franklinton, LA
