DERRICK A. O'QUINN

Derrick Anthony O’Quinn departed this life at Passages Hospice on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the age of 44. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA.  Derrick attend John H. Martyn Alternative School. He was a self-employed carpenter and owner of O’Quinn Service, LLC. Beloved husband of LaTasha Mosely. Loving father of Dion O’Quinn, Derrick Mosely, Deon Mosely, and Deshone Mosely. Son of the late Nathan Lawrence and Louvenia Stokes. Stepson of the late Thomas Stokes. Grandson of the late Rose Mary O’Quinn, Rayfield O’Quinn, Velma Lawrence, and Chester Lawrence. Great grandson of the late Louis and Daisy Johnson.  Brother of Edward Toussaint, Nathan O’Quinn, Darnell O’Quinn, Kevin O’Quinn, Catherine Wings, Sharon Lawrence, Carolyn T. Dennis, Paula Toussaint, Gwendolyn Meredith, Terrickel O’Quinn, Robin Toussaint, and the late Clarence Toussaint. Derrick is also survived 2 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Relatives and friends of the also pastors, officers and members of New Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 10:00a.m.
