Obituary of Desiree Williams
Desiree Williams, maiden name Shade, father Ronald Shade, was born to Pamela Valdez in Des Moines, Iowa on the 14th day of December, 1965. She had one older sibling, Nicolette May - Cooper (Denver, CO) who were both later transitioned to Wison, NC once their mother remarried Herman Lewis, wife Sandra Lewis, (Wilson, NC) step father, yet acknowledged father, in June of 1974.
She attended school in Wilson, NC where she attended grade school and high school, meeting an array of friends that loved her sincerely. Desiree attended Beddingfield High School as a Bruin and joined the cheerleaders squad. She met Gregory Williams (Wilson, NC) who she later betrothed and married, having two children that she leaves behind to cherish her memory, her first born child, Joshua Williams (Raleigh, NC) and Kellie Grant, husband Lee Grant, (Albuquerque, NM).
Desiree and her children moved to Denver, CO in 1990 where she lived the next 16 years of her life, leaving behind family and friends in Denver, CO to cherish the spirit of her through her time and moments remembered. In 2006, she moved to Albequerque, NM where she lived out the remainder of her days. Desiree will be missed because her heart was like no other. She remained faithful to God in the midst of all darkness, knowing that one day God would conquer any battles she endured on this earth, but not before staining the hearts and minds of so many that loved her.
1 John 4:16
God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
Desiree understood this concept far too well as it was stained her heart and she felt compelled to consistently love. Her spirit is now at peace and we allow her to rest as we will all miss her, but know she's in better hands. She leaves behind a significant amount of family, her children, Joshua Williams and Kellie Williams, 16 loved and cherished grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, sister, Nicolette May Cooper, nieces, Brandi Lewis and Pamela Stancil, nephew Antonio Stancil, cousin Natalie May and Neil Madison, in addition to a significant amount of other cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and a substantial amount of friends. She joins her grandmother, Alise May, mother, Pamela Valdez, father, Ronald Shade, nephew, Redmond Jerrod Lewis Cooper, and cousins, DeWitt McMillan, and Bridget Stovall in heavenly peace as they now unite once again as family to watch over the family here on earth.
