Dessie Ward Obituary
Dessie Marie Ward, 60, of Hinton passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 after a brief illness.
Born March 13, 1965 at Hinton, Dessie was the daughter of Gwendolyn Gail and the late Robert Lacy Ward.
A graduate of Summers County High School, Dessie lived her whole life in Hinton. She loved collecting rings and clothes, and especially her dog Cassie.
Dessie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lacy Ward; two brothers, Randy Douglas Ward and Christopher Brian Ward; and one sister, Patty Ann Ward.
Survivors include her mother, Gwendolyn Gail Ward; two sisters, Bonnie Smith and Husband Clay of Hinton, Charlotte Ward; and one brother, Billy Joe Ward and wife Leah and family and friends too numerous to list. Dessie will also be dearly missed by her beloved Chihuahua, Cassie.
At Dessie’s request, her body has been cremated, and no services will be held.
