Devon Lamar Lewis

Devon Lewis, 23, died unexpectedly April 26, 2022 at Community Medical
Center. He was born December 10th,1998 in Neptune, NJ at Jersey Shore
University Medical Center the son of Michael Lewis and Karen Lucas.
Devon graduated from Neptune High School, class of 2017. He then went on to
attend Lincoln Technical Institute where he studied air conditioning, refrigeration
and heating technology. He acquired his HVAC certification in December 2021
with honors and received a 3.73 GPA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three older brothers, Michael Jr.,
Kyle, and Brendan. His legacy also lives on through his many nieces and
nephews including Layla, London, Brendan Jr, Ki'tai, Ki'eif, Hassan, Emma, Kyle
Jr, Mi-kenze and Kayden. Devon also leaves behind an abundance of extended
family and friends. He will also be remembered by his best friend and longtime
love Aaliyah Santeramo.
Devon was predeceased in death by his grandparents Walter and Carol Lucas
and James and Rosalyn Lewis.
Devon played sports throughout his youth, he was particularly committed to
baseball and football. Devon was known as "el gato" by his traveling baseball
team the Monmouth Rebels for his cat like reflexes on 3rd base.
Devon loved to learn. His favorite subjects were history and science. He believed
knowledge was power. He found solace in nature and would research and watch
animals frequently. Devon always showed love and support to anyone in need.
He was a very passionate man and was very protective over all his loved
ones. He will be greatly missed and remain forever in our hearts.
