Butch was born July 27, 1944 in Moss Creek, Arkansas to the late Dwight & Classie Kimbrough Bowerman. He was a National Guard Veteran. He was a member of the Havana First Baptist Church.
Butch loved working with his hands, he was a brick layer, carpenter, mechanic, and builder of all things wood. In his early years he raced motorcycles then cars at Centerville Drag Strip. He made many people happy with his hand made pie safes and wishing wells. In his later years he served at Havana First Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. Butch was one of the (Good Guys)
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight & Classie Bowerman; son, Brock Bowerman; brothers-in-law, Don Frame and Harold Tharp.
Survivors include his wife, Joeann Bowerman; children, Shannon & Jill Bowerman; James Fetcho, and Mikelynn & Kevin Honaker; sisters, Betty Frame and Charlene Tharp; sister-in-law, Linda & Bob Hunt; grandchildren, Matthew, Isaac, Cory, Harlee, Sagan, and Sawyer; nieces and nephews, Sonya, Jennifer, Jill, Jeff, Brian, Steven, and Carl.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday September 19, 2025 at the Havana First Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Bird and Bro. Mark Lane officiating. Visitation will be1:00 to 2:00 pm before service at the church. Burial will be at Moores Chapel Cemetery.
